What is High Frequency Used for in Welding?

High-frequency (HF) welding, also known as high-frequency induction welding, is a specialized process widely used in the manufacturing of steel tubes and pipes. This technique utilizes electromagnetic induction to generate heat at the edges of metal strips, allowing them to fuse together without the need for additional filler materials. Because the heating is localized, the process ensures minimal material distortion and excellent weld uniformity.
