The most crucial equipment in the pipe manufacturing line is the extruder and the diameter measuring instrument. Their functions and roles are as follows:
Extruder core function: As the heart of the production line, it is responsible for heating and pressurizing the mixed raw materials (such as rubber, plastic or metal strips) to form the initial structure of the pipe through extrusion.
Extruder technical characteristics: It supports continuous speed adjustment, is suitable for producing pipes of different diameters and shapes (such as round pipes, square pipes, and special-shaped pipes), and has an efficient motor drive (such as 1380 revolutions per minute), meeting the requirements for high-intensity continuous operation.
Diameter measuring instrument core function: It conducts real-time online detection of the outer diameter and ellipticity of the pipe, ensuring dimensional accuracy, and adjusts the extrusion parameters through feedback to reduce the scrap rate.
Diameter measuring instrument technical characteristics: There are two types: single-axis (for detecting the outer diameter) and double-axis (for detecting the outer diameter and ellipticity). The installation position is flexible (such as between or after the extruder and the cooling water tank), enabling fully automated inspection. Other auxiliary equipment such as the welding device (used for processing the seams of metal pipes), the cooling system (to stabilize the structure of the pipes), and the cutting machine (for fixed-length cutting) are also crucial, but the extruder and the diameter measuring instrument directly determine the production efficiency and the quality of the finished products.
