I. Equipment Preparation and Inspection
Power Supply and Grounding
Confirm that the welding machine power cord is undamaged and the grounding resistance is ≤ 4Ω. Prevent the risk of electric leakage.
Check if the cooling system of the high-frequency generator (water-cooled/wind-cooled) is normal to ensure stable output of the welding power supply.
Gas System
The pressure of carbon dioxide gas should be ≥ 5MPa. The pipeline should have no leakage. The pressure reducing valve should be adjusted to 0.3 - 0.5MPa.
The flow rate of the protective gas is set at 8 - 20L/min. It is recommended to use pure CO₂ when welding carbon steel.
Mechanical Components
Check the wear of the forming roller and the extrusion roller to ensure the accuracy of the pipe blank formation (roundness error ≤ 0.5mm).
Lubricate the guide rails and transmission components to avoid poor wire feeding or jamming.
II. Operating Procedure
Power-on Sequence
Supply power → Start the cooling system → Turn on the high-frequency power supply → Adjust the gas flow rate → Feed in the pipe blank
Do not start the high-frequency generator with load.
Production Monitoring
Observe the display of the infrared temperature measuring instrument for the weld seam (normal temperature range: 800 - 1200℃).
Take a sample inspection of the tensile strength of the weld seam every 30 minutes (for carbon steel pipes, it should be ≥ 90% of the base material).
Abnormal Handling
Weld Seam Deviation: Immediately stop the machine to check the symmetry of the forming roller and the parallelism of the guide roller.
High-frequency Alarm: Prioritize cutting off the power supply and check the cooling water flow of the resonant cavity or the status of the capacitor group.
III. Safety Regulations
Personal Protection
It is necessary to wear a radiation protection mask (light-blocking number ≥ 12), flame-retardant gloves, and heat-resistant clothing.
Set up a 1.5m isolation zone in the high-frequency operation area. Non-operational personnel are prohibited from entering.
Emergency Measures
When there is gas leakage, immediately close the gas valve and start the ventilation system (air volume ≥ 10m³/s).
Use a dry powder fire extinguisher for fires. Do not use water to extinguish high-frequency equipment.
IV. Maintenance and Record Keeping
Daily Maintenance
Clean the electrode contact port of the welding gun and check the wear of the wire feeding wheel (replace when the groove depth is ≥ 0.3mm).
Drain the accumulated water in the gas path filter to prevent moisture from entering the welding area.
Record-keeping Requirements
Record production parameters, fault codes, and handling measures. The retention period should be ≥ 3 years.
