The production process of the galvanized straight seam welding pipe machine can be divided into the following main stages, taking into account the characteristics of high-frequency straight seam welding and hot-dip galvanizing processes:
1. Raw material pre-treatment
Uncoiling and straightening: After the steel strip rolls are unwound by the uncoiler, the internal stress is eliminated and the plate surface is made flat by the straightening machine.
Shearing and spot welding: Multiple rolls of steel strips are welded end to end to achieve continuous production.
2. Forming and welding
Forming process: The steel strip is gradually bent into a tubular shape by the extrusion rollers. Common forming methods include JCO/UO/RB.
High-frequency welding: The edge of the pipe blank is melted by resistance heat to form a straight weld seam.
Welding seam treatment: Remove the internal and external burrs. Some may require intermediate-frequency annealing to eliminate residual stress.
3. Pre-treatment before galvanizing
Diameter control and flaw detection: The pipe diameter is calibrated by the mold and ultrasonic testing is conducted.
Pipe end treatment: Cut to the specified length and smooth the ports.
Chemical treatment: Acid washing and rinsing to remove the surface oxide layer, preparing for galvanizing.
4. Hot galvanizing process
Hot-dip galvanizing: The steel pipe is immersed in molten zinc at 450°C to form a zinc layer.
Post-treatment: Blow off the excess zinc liquid and spray a coating to enhance corrosion resistance.
5. Finished product inspection
It includes water pressure test, galvanizing layer thickness detection, appearance inspection, etc., and is finally packaged and stored. This process integrates the efficient forming of straight seam welded pipes with galvanizing anti-corrosion technology. The key equipment includes forming machines, high-frequency welding machines, galvanizing tanks, etc.
